You may find the following tools useful for navigation.Creating Custom ShowsCustom shows in PowerPoint allow you to make a presentation within a presentation. Say, for example, thatyou will be giving a presentation to 2 different groups on new services that your department can provide. Thecontent at the beginning of the presentation needs to be the same for both groups, but because of the differentservices each group uses, you need to be able to branch off into customized content for each group. Rather thancreating a separate presentation for each group, or making your audience sit through content that does not pertainto them, you can create a custom show inside one presentation. Once you group the slides and give them aname, you can jump to these slides during your presentation. This action will be explained in detail in theAgenda Slidesection of this document. To create a custom slide show click on Custom Shows from the Slide Show menu. Choose the Newbutton to get to the Define Custom Show dialog box. In the Slides In Menu dialog box, beginselecting the slides you want to include in thecustom show and then click the Add button. Toselect more than one slide at a time, hold down thecontrol key as you select slides. Once you havechosen the slides you want to include in yourcustom show, you can use the arrow keys on theright to reorder them if you need to. Finally, giveyour custom show a name by typing it in the SlideShow Namebox and click OK.Action SettingsThe Action Settings command allows you to create a hyperlink in your presentation to another slide in yourpresentation, a different presentation, another program or to an address on the World Wide Web. These settingsmust be used in conjunction with an object in your presentation in order for them to work. The next fewsections of this document explain some of the objects you can use with Action Settings.Click on Action Settings from the Slide Show Menu to access the Action Settings window. You willsee two tabs at the top. The first is Mouse Click, and the second is Mouse Over. The hyperlink will beactivated in your presentation based on the tab you choose.
